Introducing The Mi Amour Clutch
I have been wanting to make this type of clutch for quite some time and thanks to a request from a fellow craftster we came up with this...
She wanted a clutch to use for her upcoming anniversary. Her wedding colors were red so a red velvet heart shaped clutch with a gold frame was only fitting for the occasion. This beauty can be held in your hand or worn over your chest with a long chain hidden inside.
Unfortunately, I don't have any more of these heart shells available at this time, but will have a few of them up for grabs in the summer=)

On my way...
Trying to stick with the theme of all things handmade, I came up with the idea of making my own business cards and labels. I didn't want to use your typical laser inkjet printer to create them, so I decided to go with stamping everything. I love stamps! They just give an authentic vintage look that you don't always see on business cards & labels. This is a concept that I had done with my wedding invitation envelopes shown below...
So here's the first stamp that I got hand carved by LetterKay on Etsy. It may not look exactly like my logo above, but I kinda like that raw not-so-perfect look.
Don't mind the faded butterfly stamping. It's a reject I had leftover from the wedding, but you get the gist of it=)

Hello blog world!
"So just let me introduce myself..."
I'm excited to place my first post on my very own blog! I've recently decided to take the first steps to combine my love of creativity and business. Two things I never would have thought of putting together. Growing up in a home where our adult supervision was off working hard for the American dream, my brothers and I were free to use our imagination to as far as it would take us. We were mainly just bored and made do with what we had. So with a pen, paper, and a few crayons I went to town on drawing images from my moms Cosmos while blasting my dad's soft rock cassette tapes on his Bose system. Another pastime favorite was playing dress up with my moms most prized possessions...her clothes. Unknowingly, making such a huge influence on my style choices today. Needless to say that if it weren't for the lack of supervision in my home, I would not be the person I am today=) I would like to thank my parents for their indirect influence of style, music, & creativity. Thanks mom & dad! I love you both dearly!

A recent celebration of my 10 year wedding anniversary, with my baby daddy/hubby, Chris...love you babe!*wink*wink*...reincarnated my creative bone. During the planning stages of wedding craziness, researching color palettes, invitations, favors, dresses...blah,blah,blah,blah,blah...I thought to myself "Self! How in the world will you afford all of these lovely things to have the wedding of your dreams and not put your family further in the hole of debt?" My solution! Make everything yourself! Now, I don't think I gave much thought to this tedious challenge, as I do with most of my decisions. It may have been the most stressful period of my life. Childbirth was less stressful, for goodness sake! But with the help of my BFFs and family it became one of my greatest and most memorable celebrations...I absolutely adore my circle of life, family,& friends.
